8 PAINTINGS
The paintings are set at a specific moment in the history of this first civilization on Earth.
Exhibition title: “The Days of Fools”
– PAINTINGS SYNOPSIS –
The Days of Fools were a carnival held every seventy-six years on bhAbl, at the time when a group of comets they called the Fingers of bhAlh passed by.
On this occasion, Atlanteans and humanoids mingled together, regardless of race, and paraded for seven days through this legendary city to celebrate bhAlh, their God.
Eight: the number of eternal renewal.
Eight paintings, like eight photographs taken at the same moment and oriented toward the Tower of bhAbl.
Eight windows opening onto the distant past of a city that vanished ages ago.
Technique:
Oil painting with varnish, using a Venice turpentine-based medium on wood coated with seasoned plaster.
Installation:
My artistic research for this series of paintings seeks to connect the ancient with the modern, bringing figurative art into space. I created these paintings in the style of scenes by painters from the old Northern provinces, while clothing them in the vibrant colors of paintings from the old Southern provinces of the same period.
For the exhibition, the paintings are displayed on easels within the space and positioned according to their orientation in relation to the Tower, represented by a central beam of light, in order to highlight this continental city. (see attached plan)
THE BOOK
The book recounts the final days of this civilization.
– NOVEL SYNOPSIS –
The Fingers of bhAlh, a group of comets, pass close to Earth every seventy-six years.
This period was chosen to mark the beginning of settlement missions across the wild territories. Impacts, earthquakes, cataclysms.
One Atlantean, three lobotos: a warrior, a servant, and a giant, along with three pairs of modified beings: brown-haired, dark-haired, and blond.
Atlanteans, humanoids, beings so different… Two races, three ways of feeding.
The story follows the journey of these ten survivors as they attempt to reach the western base of A6, in order to contact any possible rescue forces and make their way to Site No. 3 of the Machine, located on A1.
Numerous trials and adventures ensue…
Then comes rebellion, followed by war in the name of life and love. The end of one civilization, the beginning of another. A pivotal moment.
Thousands of years ago, millions of years ago…
The story of the Masters of the World, of their mathematical religion, their alchemical factories, and their war against the “flying serpents,” which they ultimately succeeded in eradicating from the surface of the globe. The story of Earth, of bhAbl, of Mu, of Eiden, of Atlantis, of Atlantide, the story of their spacefaring epic…
But above all, our story.
